Our Story

It started with one perfect whisk.

Matcha Boys began as founder Jose Gutierrez's passion project — a search for the brightest, smoothest, most honest cup of matcha in Austin. What started behind a single counter has grown into a community-driven movement blending wellness, creativity, and flavor.

We source ceremonial-grade matcha, macerate our own berries, and build every drink like it matters — because to the people who line up for it, it does.

Where is Matcha Boys located?
You'll find our counter at The LOOP in Hyde Park — 108 W 43rd St, Austin, TX 78751 — with a new brick-and-mortar location coming soon on South Lamar.
What are your hours?
We're open Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00am to 3:00pm, and closed Monday and Tuesday. Hours can shift for pop-ups, so check our Instagram @enjoymatchaboys for the latest.
What is the Lullaby?
The Lullaby is our signature drink: premium ceremonial-grade matcha layered over house-made strawberry sauce made from fresh macerated berries and silky milk.
Do you offer dairy-free or non-dairy milk options?
Yes — dairy-free milks are always available, so every drink on the menu can be made non-dairy.
What kind of matcha do you use?
We use ceremonial-grade matcha, whisked fresh to order for the smoothest, brightest cup.
